What great news we want to mention! MyeongDong Topokki has officially achieved the MeSTI certificate by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MoH). In another word, our Food Processing Centre (FPC) is certified for the maintenance of food hygiene and process control which includes food safety assurance.
MeSTI (Makanan Selamat Tanggungjawab Industri (MeSTI) was formerly named as Skim Keselamatan Makanan 1 Malaysia (SK1M). It aims to ensure the company to fulfil Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 requirements. It is also essential for the company to adopt MeSTI before applying for JAKIM Halal certification. In MESTI certification, a company must comply with a full spectrum of basic hygiene requirement which focuses on operation control, hygiene & maintenance, traceability, and record-keeping which MyeongDong Topokki did well in these requirements.
Other than that, Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 requires every proprietor and occupier of food manufacturing premises to prepare and hold a Food Security Assurance Program (CMP). PJKM is a well-documented practice system that guarantees certain types of food will not harm consumers when consumed. Among the PJKMs introduced to the premises involved in food manufacturing are Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), ISO 22000 and so on.
MyeongDong Topokki always strives to qualify for consumers and focuses on hygiene a lot to ensure we serve mouthwatering and authentic Korean dishes to our MyeongDong Topokki fans.
